Enable create and update

This task is to modify a simple .NET CRUD web application (create, read, update, delete)

There is a problem in Internet Explorer versions 10 and 11 as only read and delete are functioning. I cannot add a new entry to the grid (create) or edit (update) an existing entry. In other browsers that I have viewed it in (Firefox version 35 and Chrome version 39) all four CRUD functions are functioning correctly.

The two functions I mentioned:

1. Adding a new entry to the grid; create

2. Editing an existing entry; update

must work in exactly the same way in Internet Explorer versions 10 and 11 as they do in Chrome and Firefox. I also want the existing functionality to not be affected (i.e. the grid can still be viewed and existing entries can still be deleted)

As you can see it is AJAX functionality so when a new entry is added or deleted or an existing entry is updated, only the grid should be refreshed, not the web page. The changes to the grid should be reflected immediately without the need for a page refresh.

E.g. when you click Edit, make a change and then click Save the change should be visible immediately without the need for a page refresh.

E.g. when you click Add New, add a new entry and then click Add the new entry should be visible immediately without the need for a page refresh.

E.g. when you click Delete and delete a new entry the row that has been deleted should be removed immediately from the grid without the need for a page refresh.

Obviously everything that is on the grid should come from the database.

I have included a script that will create the database ([url removed, login to view])

There are a number of tables in the database but the only one that is used is the Hotels table

You need to modify line 12 of [url removed, login to view] to include your SQL Server information (data source, username and password).

This issue is unique to Internet Explorer to the best of my knowledge. The solution to it may lie in modifying the file [url removed, login to view]
