Expand existing project add SinBin function.

Existing sport timer and scoreboard software, further development.

Add a SinBin function to Delphi 6 project. The sport has a 'Sin Bin' which is used by referee to penalise players.

A player or players may recieve 1, 2, 5 minute or remainder of match penalty.

Players may be panalised individually or more than one at a time.

All penalties stop if game clock is paused. Timed play may stop during a players penalty so the duration of a penalty will run from start of penalty until start time minus 1,2 or 5 minutes is deducted from the game clock. (readily avaialble in the existing software. )

Example, player Black number 6, recieves two minute penalty at 11:48. Time back in will be 9:48. Warning flash or something for Time keeper at 10 seconds before time up.

Text file output at start of penalty writes detail of team colour, player number, penalty duration, and time back into game.

There are two screens used, one is shown to the public as the scoreboard, the other is the control screen for the operator of the timing computer.

The software runs a continuous series of games with a set period, and minimum set period of time between games.

In addition the software writes a text file of results of each game.

In 'big' competitions we record the hat number of the player who scored the goal. This function is optional and is turned on with a checkbox in one of the set up screens.

I need to add a Sinbin timer to the software, and in addition write a text file that provides a list (of values/ variables) to a separate software package that is not mine, which will read the text file and add video graphics to the video stream of games being broadcast live to the internet. The video is nothing to do with the timing project and we need to make them work together.

I have already done the basic design and function of the Sinbin, but want a 'better coder' than me to code it as I want it to run well and be stable, without interfering with the timing functions of the software. :-) (It is a number of years since I wrote the software with a friend, who did most of the coding.)

The text file is going to take a number of variables, such as the score, or hat number of the player who scored, or remaining time for a player in the sin bin, and write that to the computer being used by the broadcast crew. They have software that will read the text file and use the text to generate "nice" graphics for overlay onto the video coverage of the game being streamed onto the internet.

It makes sense to me to combine the 2 projects into one.
