We have a need to integrate into an existing PHP app an independent JavaScript development that takes care of the following:
Building a map with markers and info-windows (into one "div")
Writing events occurring (into another "div")
The idea is to use pure JAVASCRIPT code within a PHP container where the Dev has only to think about developing the JAVASCRIPT code.
Prefer that the map is "Open Street Map" and will show a large number of markers in various colors depending on status and related info-windows are defined by a specific per status condition (it is a combination of alerts and statuses).
At a regular interval (must be set as a parameter since it can change) the code must check for any change in that condition which will trigger both color and info-window content to change
ONLY of those markers who changed (it is to optimize and avoid lots of data-to-map calls).
All data will be provided via API calls and it is preferred NOT to use AJAX to trigger update.
Together with the Dev we will define the best set of API calls to succeed.
At the same time there is a need to show some events that are occurring.
In this case this is an infinite poll since these events can occur anytime.
