Use TI DAC8742HEVM evaluation kit as a basis.
Use TI DAC8742H as the chip to design/build a HAT for RPI or variant. Support HART, FF H1, Profibus-PA.
Support 8 or preferably 16 channels of each of these 3 services. (will assume 16, unless stated otherwise)
One channel only one type devices/services at a time. Prefer software selection/configuration.
If hardware selection, you may make 3 kinds of HATs one for each service type also (Specify if so).
The HAT will also serve as a pass-thru of HW, SW signals.
The RPi or its variant (like Potatoe libre) connects via I2C to HAT. HAT supports 8 stackables with pin use
conservation. We want the board to use the I2C bus pins, which allows multiple boards to be stacked.
Each board will need to have 6 pins to change jumper settings for addressing each board to a maximum of
8 stackable boards. (i.e. 000 = stack 0; 001 = stack 1; 010 = stack 2; 111 = stack 7).
Support HART-IP, APL, MBTCP, EIP slaves via Wi-fi & TCP/IP ports to the host app
(built in MS Vis Std .NET 6 latest version). The host app supports Calibration, configuration, diags,
real-time data for all the variables for latest versions of 3 services. Host messages,
communications shall be also pass-thru the system, if selected.
The main chip & associated important circuitry must be pluggable, to help with switching the base PCB
during prototyping. The HAT will allow comm support of another different HAT (host) via I2C also.
Remote access to HW will be provided by us. You should be available to work during 10:30AM & up USA CDT, when needed. All Altium design, source codes, Gerber files, designs, supporting docs, some training to allow future upgrades internally, provided to us.
Please specify any milestones desired (all fully tested bug-free source code, supporting docs till
date will be submitted and approved by us. Release will happen when next milestone is submitted and
approval by us of prior), else full payment on delivery and acceptance by us of everything.
