what we require is to build a .net tool that can search the windows file index
the win file index can be queried similar to SQL commands

I need to be able to do detailed searches eg: keywords, doc type, date saved, date created etc. The more search capabilities
Search results should display like windows search results with numerous results columns that a user can remove and add via Column Chooser

Interesting project, never done work on Windows indexing but have enough experience in VB6/.net and Windows API to handle it.
we have already design the same software and many clients like Mahindra & Mahindra All Plant (Nashik,Pune and Mumbai) using this system. TATA and Mercedes chennei is also plannig to bye this. developed in .NET and SQL More
