I use an e-commerce called Sunshop. It is made by Turnkey Webtools ([url removed, login to view]).

I host many carts and I use a shared SSL Certificate for checkout. During checkout, the shopper is forwarded to a different (secure) domain. After the checkout, the cart appropriately empties. However, if the shopper goes back to the store for look around some more, the items reappear in the cart. The apparent cause of this has something to do w/PHP sessions. When the problem was reported to Turnkey Webtools, this was their response:

"We've seen this issue in the past. It's stems from using a shared SSL cert. You see when going through the checkout process, the shop uses a session variable for the non-secure portion of the cart and a different session variable for the secure portion. At the end of the checkout process, the session for the secure part gets destroyed, however when you go back to the non-secure part the session is still alive. I haven't heard from our dev team if this can be fixed or not, but I will ask."

Well, I don't think they have fixed it. I need to know:

1- Can it be fixed so all sessions are destroyed at checkout

2- If so, how much and how long?

Thanks.
