Hi,

I would like to hire a coder to create an activesync (client) <-> IMAP (server) bridge.

So the software should listen on a local port which I can point my email client towards and create and IMAP connection. the software will connect to the exchage server via activesync. I just need basic email functions, send/recieve. Address book is not neccessary but would be a nice to have.

This must run on Windows, I dont care what language you do it in.

You can do this in either 2 way:

1/ get an open source IMAP server package and add in the activesync(client part) and differential engine.

2/ do it all from scratch

3/ use the Davmail framework which has differential engine already and remove the sync by OWA feature, and create a sync by activesync feature. [login to view URL]

Option 1 is probably the most simple. You could use this IMAP server [login to view URL] which uses a mysql database on the backed to store the messages. Then create a seperate piece of software which syncs using the active sync http commands to the mysql.

activesync API: [login to view URL]

example code: [login to view URL]%28v=exchg.140%[login to view URL]

intersting article: [login to view URL]

Thanks

Alex
