This task is about implementing an application which collects specific system information on the computer, packages the information into a ZIP file and stores the ZIP file on the desktop. It will be used in product support for gathering relevant information on a customer PC.
The collected information includes e.g. specific product versions (Windows, Word Apps, .NET Frameworks), list of installed programs, custom files and registry subtrees and a protocol of file accesses (similar to FileMon protocol).
Development enviromnent: C++ and MFC, developed in Visual Studio 2005.
