I am looking for a programmer to build a new eCommerce website.
The website would need a store front where members could buy DVDs and a backend inventory area where I could enter in new DVDs that would be displayed on the site and updated as people buy them. Also in my backend area I would need an area to see the orders and be able to process them.
Members of the site would use a basic shopping cart to add the DVDs they select. There would be two different types of currencies on the site USD and credits. Each video will have a USD price and a credit amount to purchase. For example, DVD #1 may have a cost of $19.95 or 5 credits. Some members will use USD $ currency and other type of member will use credits.
There would be two different types of Member status on the site:
Free Members:
All that is required for them to make a free account is to enter in basic information, name, location, email address etc.
Free Members would use USD currency to purchase videos. I will load their account with USD when their account is created. I will explain this in more detail in PMB.
VIP Members:
They will create an account with their basic information + enter in their credit card information.
First 30 days will be free (trail membership) which will start charging them monthly after 30 days if they do not cancel.
They will receive credits each month that they are a member and will be able to use the credits to purchase DVDs.
They will also be able to trade DVDs with other VIP Members. I will explain below.
Trading Platform:
I will need a simple trading platform for VIP members to list all of the DVDs they own and would like to trade with others. VIP Members could search the other VIP Member's list of DVDs to see if there is one that they want to trade for. A trade is initiated, request sent to other member, that member can either accept or deny trade. If trade is accepted, each member receive each other's mailing address. They notify each other when the DVD is shipped and received. There would also be a feedback system.
Summary of work needed:
- Store front with shopping cart
- Backend Inventory / Stats / Receive and Process orders / Manage members
- Merchant processing to handle transactions (purchases and recurring memberships)
- Different type of Members, simple members functions (edit account, view credits / USD $)
- Trading platform
I have most of the design completed and can take care of the design. I am looking for someone that can do the programming for the website as well as a long term relationship. I will need future updates added to the site and someone to help make sure it runs properly.
