Google Map Geocoder

I am trying to geocode a valid address in JS. I am close enough that the first 2 statements work to display the Palo Alto map (eg the mapping is set up right)

However, the next lines do NOT get a valid point... the point comes back null, although the address verifies with the alert.

I think the problem may be that the point doesn't have a value YET... Google talked about a callback function because of the timing... but I don't know how to implement it in my particular situation. Furthermore, I have an older version that DOES work as I have programmed it in the attached doc, so I don't know what I am missing, but it can't be much.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
