The Australian College of Nurse Practitioners ([login to view URL]) website will be targeted primarily to its members and will be one of the organisation's primary methods of disseminating information.
We require:
· Content management system that is accessible to non internet savvy authors
· Ability to transition database of members and their respective details from old provider to new provider
· Simple CSS design templates so the website can be launched using existing identity and then easily updated by our own web coordinator
· Multi-level access privileges to allow for overall site content administration plus each individual State chapter to manage their own local content.
· Content needs to display correctly on IE, Chrome, FireFox, Opera. Consider how the site will display on IPAD, IPHONE, GOOGLE Tablet etc.
· Seamless registration and reminder process for membership as well as listserve functions
· Create an individual 404 error page – do use default
· Structure will be along the following lines:
· Main page featuring latest news updates and possibly integrate with external news feeds (eg. Meltwater News)
o Sub pages with text, graphical and file content:
§ Contacts
§ Quality Use of Medicines for Nurse Practitioners
§ History
§ Education
§ Executive
§ Links
§ Site Sponsors
§ Newsletter
§ State Chapters
· Page for each state chapter (8 in total)
· A password protected members section including:
o Members only forum to which we can automatically add all of our existing members, and which they can then modify their individual profiles. Members should not be allowed to remove email notifications for the “News” forum. Forums should be modifiable to meet established and future topical areas. Forums should be designed so that novices can utilise with ease.
Posting to the “News” forum will be restricted to authorised individuals only.
o Page/File access to Restricted or copyright material only accessible to members.
o Listerv function- members automatically subscribed once financial (or deleted once they become non-financial)
o Podcasting ability
o Ability to integrate with survey monkey
o Newsletter ePost function – members automatically subscribed once financial
o eLearning option (Learning Management System) with collation of CPD
o Online purchasing of products (this may be a future requirement of ACNP)
· Site search
· Merchant facility that ideally links with our accounting software
