We need the following stuff done in our new Magento (1.8) store:
* No store front, just a customzied landing page with ONE product (designated by active/not active in the backend). Users should not be able to browse other products/categories.
* Customers should be able to preorder, if the release date set in the backend is in the future. Once the product is released, customers should be able to buy it without an admin doing / changing anything. So a nice automatic transition between preorder and order is needed.
* When a customer wants to buy that product, a single checkout page should open in a lightbox, so that in the background you still see that landing page / one product page.
* Every sale is time limited. So we need the customer to see how long the product will be on sale (countdown) and also a way to lock the product after the countdown is down to zero, so it can't be bought anymore.
* Every product is going to be cheaper the higher amount you buy. We want customers to see the price change happening in real time, while they change the amount.
That's basically it. The landing page should consist of the following elements:
* Product picture
* Product description
* Price tag
* Attributes shown (like "System requirements")
* Social sharing options
* Amount change buttons (+ / -)
* "Buy" button
