I have a quick MySQL query fix that I need help with. First part is an issue with a left join and second part is optimizing a subquery to execute faster. I have attached an excel workbook with the problem.
1. The left join is returning null on all values when the right table does not have a corresponding key. I need the values in the left table what am I doing wrong.
2. The subqueries ex:IFNULL(unit_sales1 - prev_unit_sales1,(SELECT IFNULL(max(datetimesql),'NS') FROM storeCheckRecords WHERE store_id=@storeid AND upc=855555000019)) as diff_unit_sales1...... are slowing down the query significantly. This query is currently at 10 secs and less than 1 sec without the max(datetimesql)... subqueries. How can I optimize for speed?
