My requirement is for a rudimentary job listings site, where jobs will be posted only by the administrator in the back-end. Users will not apply for jobs on the site, instead each listing will link to an external site where applications can be made.
Users will be able to search for listings based on salary range, keyword, category and subcategory, location. Search results will also be sortable by date (newest / oldest first) and salary. There will be no need for an advanced search function, CV upload, user profiles etc.
There will be an ‘employer profiles’ section with each company page including a few paragraphs, and listings of jobs currently listed for that company.
The sole aim of the site is to build traffic and drive numbers of people clicking ‘apply now’ for roles. Email alert functionality would also be required.
The target market of the site is principally employees and jobseekers in the broad financial services/ banking sectors in a singular city / region.
Look and design – the site will be fairly simple and generic in appearance, a principal example to follow would be [login to view URL], also s1jobs.com.
Unlike most job sites, the home page will include jobs listings sorted by most recent posted, along with a search bar. The home page will also have a banner which is to outline the point of difference of the site to other similar ones – ie ‘search for xxxx number of financial services jobs now‘ , ‘more banking jobs than anywhere else’, etc.
I have attempted putting such a site together myself on wordpress, with much frustration. I am keen to understand whether experienced designers may be interested in building this for me.
