The algorithm should automatically detect a vehicle in the camera view using video detection and activate license plate recognition. The system shall automatically locate & detect the license plate. The system shall perform OCR (optical character recognition) of the license plate characters in real time. It is expected that the software should provide at least 80% detection accuracy with standard Indian license plates.
