Capture the content of a window that is currently visible on the desktop and encode it lossless.
Tool should be able to save it as .mkv file playable with VLC.

Sourcecode should be well documented and written as a tutorial for all steps (standard programming practices don't need to be documented). Especially the encoding part must be very well documented. Encapsulate everything in classes for easy use.
Frames per second should be variable and customizeable by the developer.
Optional CUDA (nVidia) support for encoding.
