I'm starting a news blog for cosplay and other geeky topics. Basing the design aesthetic on 16th-18th century newspaper illustrations (uploaded some references). I would love a logo with a lobster in an etching illustration style. In my head -- although I'm open to anyone's own interpretation based on what they think works -- I would like a lobster facing head-on wearing a top hat and with the front antennae forming a sort of handle-bar mustache. It would also be fun if he had a monocle, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I need a vector character for my website to maintain a brand. It is an industry standard to use some animal as a brand figure, so I need an animal too - a dog or a bear are just some of the example animals. The website is a homework help website, so adding geeky attire is a plus. The character must be very likable, cool, and, most importantly, emotional. The cartoon We Bare Bears is a good example. As to the dimensions - it can be a 2d as well as a 3d design. After we finish with the character itself, we'll continue with a set of scenes - approximately 3-5.
