Automate Electricity Price Data Downloads in Excel

We have a simple spreadsheet that creates the xml link needed to download 1 month of price data from the California Independent System Operator ([url removed, login to view]).? The CAISO limits downloads to 1 month or less.? We would like to automate the process for downloading a years worth of data and combining it in one spreadsheet.? It may be necessary to save the files in Access or .csv if it exceeds Excel's row limit (not essential).?
Some experience with downloading electric and ancillary services price data would be a big plus.?
Prefer automation to be through visual basic macro in Excel spreadsheet, as I can do some modification if necessary in the future, and most of my office is familiar with Excel. Open to other options.
Note that xml downloads a zip file which must then be opened/transferred to Excel spreadsheet or database.
**Be sure to look at uploaded spreadsheet with examples, there are numerous different xml codes and specifications!**
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
