Write 7 quick 2-4 minutes scenes that clearly use the codes and conventions of different genres. i.e., Action Movie, Western, Horror, Thriller, Integration scene… The genre must be very clear… however it must also be blended at school. For example, the movie scene is an Action / Mission Impossible style where the students must get the assignment in to the library before 3:00pm. (like defuse the bomb, but instead a school scenario). A western film where the new kid in school has a show down with the bully. A horror scene set in the classroom where two girls discover a body think its the groundsman, but turns out to be teacher. etc… The scripts are for Year 11 students to turn into short films, and exemplars for future work.
