In rewriting your manuscript, I will ask myself the following questions: 1. Does it make sense? Does each paragraph make sense? 2. What, if anything, is missing? 3. What parts, if any, are unnecessary and should be removed. 4. What parts do not flow well? How can I transition from each paragraph to the next smoothly? 5. Does the paper have good rhythm? Does it sound good if I read it aloud? - i.e. not all short or long sentences, but a good combination of the 2 that gels. 6. Is the grammar, punctuation and sentence structure flawless? When I have all these questions answered and they are applied to the manuscript, I will know that the project is complete, and I know you will be thrilled with the outcome.

Greetings! I am a native speaker of English with experience as a public relations writer and freelance journalist. I teach writing classes at the college level and have just published a textbook on writing for undergraduate students. I did my own graphic design and much of the copyediting for the book, Creative Composition. I hold a Ph.D. in philosophy and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. Both of these academic programs are writing intensive and require book-length thesis assignments. Recently, I have revived my career as a freelancer, but I have edited academic papers for the VA in such fields as psychiatry and gerontology. For several years, I worked for an ophthalmologist in the Little Rock area, for whom I edited, revised and proofread medical textbooks, conference presentations, web materials, and personal correspondence.
