Amazon AWS Consultant

IPN, a subsidiary of Nielsen Business Media, is looking to expand its services onto the Amazon Cloud platform. This effort requires the consultation, oversight, and implementation of a seasoned consultant who has worked extensively with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The scope of this engagement will cover all services offered by Amazon including but not limited to their Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Simple Storage Service (S3), and Elastic Block Storage (EBS). In addition to consulting on these services the role will also focus on interconnecting IPN's existing platform with Amazon's AWS. IPN has highly experienced developers in-house who will be doing most of the implementation. We’re seeking a consultant who can audit our proposed infrastructure from their own experience and make recommendations and where possible configure services with sufficient documentation. The budgeted time frame for the consultation is no more than 40 hours of recommendations and assistance setting up an architecture that would allow S3/EC2 and elastic instances to be used for resource intensive clients, having Nielsen's infrastructure serving as a failover.
