I do understand what you want, but still you need to feel in all the missing pieces like you already suggested, so my bid is loose because of the missing parts. Some meteorological data APIs provide 3 states of data. The forecast for the morning, day and evening, so if you decide to go with such API then there will be 3 icons. Also, the conversion between Fahrenheit and Celsius if you want to cover worldwide audience.
