Cartoonist and caricaturist at your service, I've worked on single and multi panel strips, developed characters and mascots for logo and t-shirt work and also illustrated several childrens' books. Working from a script or an idea, I produce pencil sketches which, with the clients approval, I can then take through to final finished digital art. I work in black and white and colour.

I will be honest I am very new at this so the proposal may not be as eloquent as others. What I am not new at, however is illustrating, in particular goofy, brightly colored characters. I urge you to view my portfolio and see they types of illustrations I do. I think you will find it right in line with your vision. In my process I create initial illustration on a tablet to provide a hand-drawn feel to a digital media. I then transfer the rough Illustration to Adobe Photoshop for refinement and coloring. Finally the project is uploaded to Adobe Illustrator where the main layout will take place. This compartmentalized approach allows for quick and easy revisions for each step. My initial read of your project floods me with images from The Little Prince books with simple colorful characters plopped on a simple white backdrop. The process described above is perfect for this vision as it allows for detailed illustration with scaling options in the layout stage. My inspiration for the project is already bubbling and I hope you choose my passion to help your story come to life. I think this job would be a great fit for my style. I enjoy drawing detailed images with clean lines and pleasant colors, and I strive for a soft, layered aesthetic. My art style is mixed media, starting with detailed pencil sketches, coloring or inking in natural mediums, then bringing the image into a program such as Photoshop or Painter to clean it, add additional coloring or texturing, or to make any other edits that will get the desired result. I also make clean-edged, glossy images if the project requires it using a slightly different method, in which I go directly from a rough sketch to an art program to create either a raster or vector image (for a raster image I do line art in Paint Tool Sai, for vector I use Adobe Illustrator). For this proposal I'll need about a month at minimum and 3 milestones to ensure that everything goes smoothly. The milestones would be: Consultation and thumbnails, Concept sketches, and finally creating the final illustrations. Revisions would be allowed in the first two milestones and discouraged in the final milestone, barring any unforeseen issues with an image.
