Connect VirtueMart cart to Authorize.net

I have a Joomla! installation for a client, using the VirtueMart cart component. I am having difficulty getting the [login to view URL] module to pass through transactions. It doesn't matter if the module is set to live or test mode, I keep getting the error "Error: 3-2-13-P---The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive. Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (ps_authorize)". Please be someone who has already dealt with this specific issue, and who has had previous success at overcoming it and connecting the cart to Authorize.net. For reasons of convenience, I would prefer someone who can work with my time zone, which is U.S. Central time.
