I need a logo for a project called "cog". I'm looking for a cartoon representation of a gear/cog - something vaguely fun, cute or upbeat. I'm thinking an anthropomorphised cog but I'm open to other possibilities too. This is a logo for an open source software project so something casual is perfect (ie. this is not a corporate logo). I'd like initial sketches of two logo variants to choose from - or more if you like. Once I've selected which to go ahead with you'll create a final web-ready version. When completed the logo will be delivered as PNG and PSD (or equivalent agreed format). You must be able to provide samples or I won't consider your bid.

After working for 13 years in a major Portuguese Graphic Company (Ambar, SA) in the Investigation and Development department as a maquette and final arts maker, I'm starting to work as independent worker in this area. I've got a long experience of design, drawing (manual or vectorized art) photo mask and retoutching, editing and in final arts. I 've got a degree in Marketing Management made at the Portuguese School of Marketing and Administration (IPAM) and I made professional formation in Photoshop, Freehand and QuarkXpress. Hi! My bid is $30 for the entire project. Turnaround would be 1 day plus up to three rounds of revisions. I've attached a zip file containing work samples and three concept sketches for the cog character. The sketches are very rough though, so be warned.
