We are considering a mobile application to extend the reach of our news website. This could be an app for the iPhone and for Android, or possibly a mobile version of our website. We would like to consult with a company who has experience in this field to help us determine what the best solution would be. We would like to know what options are available, what features we should consider and how the solution would fit into our content production process. We are not looking for bids on doing the project at this time. We want bids for spending some time consulting with us to determine the best solution. Of course, if your company helps us determine what path we want to take, we would be interested in working with you to make it happen at that time. Hi Jonathan, As you asked me let me tell differences. mobile site: easy to develop, there is no process of upoading to store, waiting for apple to accept etc, you can update easily but on downside, you can't send any kind of push notifications to user. So if you just want the user to view your website then mobile site is enough, but if you want to send notifications to user, want user to open your site/app more often then making a dedicated app is good idea. there are some more advantages if you make dedicated app but you can decide which you want with above info.
