Build SQL CASE statement

I have an app that allows a user to specify a SQL case statement. I want to simplify the UI so they do not need to know the SQL syntax. Instead, I'd like them to use an IF() function silimar to Excel. I need a function called ConvertIF() that accepts a string that may or may not contain an IF() statement and parse just the IF() into correct SQL Server CASE syntax. The IF() statement has the following parms IF(logical_test,value_if_true,value_if_false) Nested IF() statements should be supported.
