I have an old Atari program that I run with an Atari emulator ( WinSTon) under Windows XP. I can't find a Windows equivalent, so was hoping some bright coder out there would be able to take it apart and re program it into a program that will run under Windows. This is just a personal project, so budget quite limited. At end of project would like to have the source files created, just in case some mod needs doing in the future. I use the program to synchronize music to "hit points" in film and videos. I enter in the SMPTE code of the frame(s) I want hit, and then the program will do a calculation to find out at what tempo(s) the music should be, to catch these points. It will then show a display in a list and alternativeley as a graphical representation. It is quite similar to this program: [login to view URL] The program is very small: under 200Kb I have attached it with an emulator. An understaning of how music time code relates to SMPTE time code would probably be of help.

Hi all,
Just had a query and so will update everyone.
When running WinSton, I found the best setting under Options is:
Screen: 16 colours, low res
Monitor: Mono. If you use these settings the program will display properley.
To switch back and forth from Windows to Winston, F12
Once the emulator is running, double click on Hard Drive, and open [login to view URL] That will start the program that needs to be ported to Windows. Next File/Load and load either [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] You will get a screen with a list of pre-entered SMPTE cues, which have been entered previously. If you then play with the Tools menu, you will get an idea of what each item does. Also check out Options/Graph. Hope that clears up any early queries.
Mick
