There is an open source library called Pokersource that is available at <[login to view URL]>. I have compiled their sample programs "pokenum" and "eval" successfully to run as EXE's on Windows using Cygwin, and I am calling these EXE's from a VB6 application. This is all working successfully, however I would like to optimize this to a DLL function call or something similar. What I would love is for someone to compile the pokenum and eval programs into a DLL with a function call for each. Those function calls should take a string with what I usually send over as command line paramters, and return a string of what it usually returns on standard out. This DLL needs to be called from within VB6, so I don't want to have to do anything special with string pointers. I'd imagine this is a pretty simple job. I'd be happy to hear if you think there is a better way to create this function, or if something other than a DLL would be better (ActiveX EXE maybe?) -- I just want to save the overhead of spawning a new application every time I want to evaluate a hand, as my application would like to iterate over many situations. I can provide you with the two compiled EXE's if need be. Thanks for your bid! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). * * *This broadcast message was sent to all bidders on Monday May 8, 2006 8:38:31 AM: My boss just informed me that he told me the wrong example program from the pokersource libraries that we need converted to a DLL function. We actually need the eval.c program converted, but will also use the pokenum.c program as a function. Therefore, I'd like your bids to represent doing the work for both functions. Since both functions just take command line parameters and send back standard output, this shouldn't be any more work. Please let me know if you will be able to convert BOTH of these example programs and not just pokenum.c. Thanks! ## Platform Windows XP
