We are looking for a programmer/consultant who can help us convert our Microsoft Access database application's VBA from using DAO to using ADO. Our goal is to continue to take advantage of the usability of Access, but move toward a possible ADP solution and a SQL Server backend. This will not only improve our scalability but allow us to interface more extensively with Internet applications. ***See attached for a summary of the applications modules and number of lines of code as well as a sample of some Pearl procedures.***
We'd like to find a local programmer (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN area), because we feel face-to-face meetings will benefit the project, but we will consider all bids in order to find the right person for the project.
This current bid is only for assistance in converting DAO code to ADO within extensive VBA coding for a wide variety of functionality including general form handling, custom programmed functions, fund accounting routines, etc.
This project could very well lead to future work in helping with ADP solutions, SQL Server conversion, and/or ASP.Net-based web solutions.
We are a small software company that works with grant makers and community lenders and have clients all over the US that use our database application for grants management, fundraising, loan tracking, and fund accounting, among other functions.
## Deliverables
We will discuss and agree upon deliverables after initial consultation.
## Platform
Any version of Microsoft Access. You'll need another single .dll file to run the program.
