Add extra editable articles in OSCommerce

PHP-coding to 'lift up' a certain article from the DB and display it to the right of an OSCommerce-site (a little like banners). And make our opening-hours editable from the admin-site. (Almost identical with the above, just name? two seperate articles) The above already works inside the site, I've installed an add-on to make news articles (just dont the remember the plug in name). The PHP- code is ? to messy? for me to understand.
