I am looking for an application that gives an end user simple network status. I want it to be in the form of a web page using the users default web browser. Therefore, it will have to have its own web server on whatever port. Bottom line, it needs to do a bunch of crap. Verify Various TCP Communications Current IP address HTTP and HTTPS ??" Verify that the website is available FTP ??" Verify it can communicate with FTP Site DNS ??" Verify DNS TELNET ??" Verify Telnet Session Oracle DB Test ??" Unsure how to test SQL ??" Verify MS-SQL server connection My SQL ??" Verify MySQL connection NT Stuff (shares, server availability) The hard Stuff: Lotus Domino server availability, this is not entirely important but would be nice; I think Domino has support for com objects. (I basically want it to open the address book). GUI ??" I want to use the default web browser with pictures and colors Backend: It should get its customized settings from a dat/text/ini file. The reasoning: I have a bunch of laptop users that I support remotely and nothing irritates me more to find out they are not even connected to the internet. This will cut down on a few steps. I’m not sure if I am asking the impossible but hopefully someone out there knows what I’m trying to achieve. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows Based machines is what is support so Windows 2000 and XP, able to run in any web browser (IE, Firefox, Netscape, etc)
