Chat Widget

This project is to develop a “chat?? widget in Flash and a simple web site that allows users to get the code for the flash widget and configure some individual settings. The widget detects when a user has gone to a site in which the widget is embedded. The widget allows site users (in which the widget is embedded) to chat with each other; chat 1:1 with the site owner; or chat 1:1 with each other. Based on how the user has configured the widget, the widget can notify the site owner via email or the site owner can look on the site (where they got the widget) and see the status of any users that are chatting. The widget displays the names (and if available, photos) of recent visitors below the chat area. The site owner can configure a few settings for the widget, namely: - The size of the widget - A welcome message when a user first sees the widget (with configurable font) - Available/Unavailable status (the site owner can indicate if they are un/available) - The number of recent visitors displayed A user specifies his/her name to start chatting, and can optionally upload a photo or have the widget retrieve a photo from a URL the user provides. The site is simple and provides the user with the code to get the widget (single line edit box with text auto-selected), and allows user to configure the options. They can create a simple account (optional) if they want to, or they can just go to their own web site where they have embedded the widget, to chat with their users. You should have prior Flash experience and basic PHP/HTML/MySQL experience to setup the site. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Linux PHP Flash
