Build URL Shortener

I need an URL shortener created, similar to [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] I will be the only one using it, so it does not need to look good from a design perspective. ---------------------------- This is how it should work - I goto my specific page where the URL shortener service is. It will have a textbox for me to enter a URL, then have a 'submit' button next to it. When clicked, the service will auto-generate a new, shortened URL based off of my Domain URL that will simply redirect to the original URL I inputted in the beginning. It will create this shortened URL by automatically generating a 5-character string. It must check the database to make sure that the string it generated has not already been used for another URL. No shortnered URL can be deleted, so each string will be saved always. Also on the page, either below this, or to the right, will list all of the past generated URLS created, along with their original URLS that they redirect to, and show me how many times it has been clicked - so that is something you will also need to code: click-thrus.
