CloudFlare Project

CloudFlare CloudFlare has issues, but they have an API that can resolve those issues since they’re not adding these features as of yet. I've been told many months that they're planning to add such features, but they have not. Search CloudFlare doesn’t have a search function within their control panel, in order to alter a record you have to load the page of the domain name and keep scrolling until you've found the domain you’re looking for at one point you will reach a point of “Load More” and if you have over 10,000 DNS Records (A Records and SRV Records) you becomes really hard to manage domain records. With that said, they don’t even have pagination (Multiple Pages) to easily say load 100 Records on all pages. Project I was looking at the API myself, but I don't have time to code something like this, so I figured I’ll make a post for my requirements. Project is basically 3rd party web interface to CloudFlare using their API with features I can modify to my liking. Signup/Login System Figure I would want users to be able to login and signup to the website and save details of their API Key. Although this might feel insecure and hopefully doesn't become compromised. Fields (Maybe we just ask for Email and API Key from CloudFlare and we can auto fill these details and auto-generate an encrypted password with a force change on first login.) Username Password (Strong Password Requirements) (Encrypted) Confirm Password (Check if it matches) Email Confirm Email (Check if it matches) reCaptcha (or another you prefer) Send Mail (SMTP Auth) Once account has been confirmed, then they have a nice control panel to make things easier to manage their domain name records. Frontend Query a list of your domains and display them in a nice layout. Domain Page Pagination After you query a list of the domains you've selected then with some settings in at the top you can have pagination settings to show a list of domains based on what you’ve set. Show (Dropdown) 20 50 100 Sort By (Dropdown or probably a checkbox, more a filter by) A CNAME MX TXT SPF AAAA NS SRV LOC Search CloudFlare’s API has some kind of limit of 2,500 Records to load, not sure if there is some magic within their API where we have a &start and &end, but needs to be able to download all records from the control panel. Not sure if this is limitation we can force a way around it, but it’s records because here’s the problem. When you query for a DNS Zone and only searches the first 2,500 records, it will say the record isn’t found and then passes through to create the zone and ultimately creating for example a 2nd SRV record with the same name with the different targets ending in pointing to wrong servers. If you find away around this, then display all records (even dupes) in a nice page layout) for easier reading. Then add options at the end of the to “Modify/Delete”. If not found, then just basic options to add new records to the panel. Fields (Dropdown) Actions: Modify Delete Design Design needs to nice, probably a “Responsive or Bootstrap design” Logo doesn't need to be created.
