Cold Fusion Installation

The project is to help us migrate a site written in Cold Fusion to a new in-house server. There are 2 parts to this project: (1) Get a Cold Fusion server set up correctly, so that all the parts are configured right (2) move code from an online hosting service to the new in-house server ## Deliverables We need someone who has experience in setting up a Cold Fusion server get our new server set up correctly. When it is finished, our existing site will be moved from its current host to the new in-house server. If the site works correctly on the in-house server, then the project is complete. The site we are trying to move is non-trivial; it contains Java code, TCP/IP sockets code as well as Apache rewrites. Added information as of 3/23/2010 ----------------------- We have received some questions about the project, so here are all the additional questions and answers: 1. What is Coldfusion version to be installed (destination server)? What OS is running on that PC? --- The destination server is running Cold Fusion Standard Version 8; the OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit; we also have Apache and MySQL running on that machine. All of the software has been installed on the destination server, but we need help with configuration and options. We can also re-install things if necessary. The destination server is new, and nothing else is running on it yet. 2. Do you want to use "in-house server" as main/production server ? --- Yes, the in-house server is what we want to use as our main/production server. 3. Would it be possible to get to know url of current website ? --- The url is [login to view URL] 4. Does database need to be migrated ? --- Yes, the mySQL database needs to be moved as well 5. What do you mean by "it contains Java code" ? --- There are Java applets for text editors on the site (allowing customers to edit their data); there is also some TCP/IP sockets code written in Java for communication with a payment system 6. Did you used custom tags also ? --- No, there are no custom tags in the site.
