DEX/UCS - Programmer

DEX/UCS- Programming Looking for a capable programmer to create an application that resides on a Windows CE portable device, This application uses the DEX/UCS industry standard protocol to access the data stored in external devices such as vending machines. The first stage of this application should be relatively easy, the only thing required is a quick and easy way of getting the data back to the portable Windows CE device. That is to say, we need an application that has one button named "Grab Data". Once the portable Windows CE device is connected to the external device, through a serial cable, (a picture of the cable is provided), the application should download the data file from the external device and store it in a hardcoded location on the portable Windows CE device. If the applicant is successful in delivering this initial application, there is potential for a lot more work. We are a software/hardware firm that has been around for over 20 years. Because of the labor shortage in our city, we cannot find enough full time programmers to meet our requirements and have decided to outsource a few of our custom applications. Thanks, A G ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows CE Platform.
