C Sharp and SQL server

**Problem Statement:** With the growing markets, the competition is increasing every single day. The new businesses need to generate revenues and customer acquisition is becoming more important every single day. The most important factor is to perform analysis based on the products preferred by the user. The success of any company lies on the ability to interpret the daily flood of data. For this purpose, certain analyses are performed to check the sales and the products being sold. The problem lies with the efficient interpretation of the data and after performing analysis, taking some decisions to improve the sales. **Motivation:** The motivation of this project is to fulfill ever increasing needs of the growing markets and providing efficiency analysis to the company employees that can help them increase their revenues. Numerical data holds greats importance, but it’s better to visualize things. Therefore, in my project I will develop a platform where a simple company employee can perform analysis and visualize the results. **Scope:** Following functionalities will be provided: * **Online Analytical Processing:** * * The option for the use to chose between the grain and the aggregate level. * Generation of reports based on the regional sales, products and quarter of year. **Proposed solution:** I propose a complete solution for a super market, with the franchises all over the country, based on the aggregation level specified by the user. This will give the company an edge in the market because, the analysis can help them target their customers properly, and increase the sales. For this, the database will be stored in the multi dimensional format, (a data warehouse will be made) and further analysis will then be carried out on them.) ## Deliverables **Deliverables:** * An interface to extract multi dimensional data. * Specification of the aggregate level by the user. ( By means of user friendly mouse clicks) * A Load Block in which queries are to be stored which are to be executed. * A load Block containing the queries according to the user specifications * Visualize the results obtained ## Platform **Domain:** Visual Studio .Net 2005 SQL Server 2005 SQL Server Analysis Services (SSIS) 2005
