Build a web based server monitoring application

The principal aim of this project is to provide a convenient and simple to use server monitoring platform. The platform will consist of: * A multi-client hosted web interface * An agent to install on the servers to be monitored (should be created as a Windows service) The web interface should allow the site administrator to create a user account for each client. A unique ID should automatically be created at the same time as the user account. When the user logs into their interface, they should have a dashboard to rapidly view all monitored servers. Links should also be available to download the different agents for installing on the servers to be monitored. During the installation process, the agent will automatically ask the user to specify their unique ID (which shall be displayed in their console). This will 'attach' the server to the user's account and data will immediately start being sent to the server. If the agent is removed (via Add/Remove programs) from a server, it should automatically disappear from the user's console. The elements that need to be monitored are: * Server available (online or offline, if offline then time last seen) * CPU usage (percentage) * RAM usage (available and used) * Disk space (available for each volume) * Network (RX and TX and peak) * Swap file (available and used) For each element, email alerts should be able to be configured (for example, CPU usage reaches 90%, Server goes offline, Volume is 95% used, etc?). The interface in the user's console should look something like the attached image. Initially, we just require an agent for Windows based systems. Either one single agent that can install on Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2012 (both 32 bit and 64 bit versions) or multiple agents for each of these systems. Please specify what languages and technologies you will use to develop this solution, and how the client and server will communicate (HTTPS? Something else?). Scheduled to start rapidly.
