Custom Joomla Module using webservices

This project is for highly experienced Joomla/PHP coders only. We need a way to to display lists of story titles via webservices (data are pulled from a remote databasea) The user will be able to sort the titles by story type. The server call to get the data will be provided - it just hast to be incorporated and displayed on the joomla site (see attached pdf spec). Some key points: -- the only development required is the "browse our library" functionality as depicted in the spec. Other items in the spec have already been developed. -- there is no creative involvement/screen design needed. It will just need to fit in the existing design. -- it may be possible to customize an extension such as JCollection to achieve this. This might be the best approach since a lot of the coding has already been done. Please provide examples of other custom Joomla modules you have created that may be relevant.
