Develop Linux 2.6 System Profiler with Graphing

The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive system profiler for a Linux 2.6.12 based server. The profiler should collect data such as CPU utilization, RAM utilization, Network Performance, and more into an XML file at a user defined polling rate. The profiler then needs to be able to take this data and generate dynamic charts/graphs that automatically update as the profiling data changes. The system also needs to be able to create historical graphs based on the existing XML data. Finally, the system should give the user the flexibility to export the raw XML data as a CSV file and the charts/graphs as JPG images. We will define all of the variables/profiles that need to be tracked. There should be approximately 10-20 variables. You will use OProfile v0.91 (<[login to view URL]>[][1]) to collect the data and XML-SWF Charts (<[login to view URL]>) to generate the charts. We will provide you will dedicated remote access to a Linux server for your development and QA needs. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
