I need someone to collect data about cities and villages in France and create a spreadsheet with the results using a script or other technique. I hope some good programmer can write something that can automatically gather the data from these websites. There are about 36860 (Villes et Villages) towns/communes (Villes et Villages) in France. The data are at www quid fr , then click on "36860 Fiches Villes et Villages" icon at the top. For an example of one town's page see www quid fr/communes html?mode=detail&id=2619 I need the following fields ID (last part of URL, 4 or 5 digit number) Nom de la commune (name of town) Code postal (post code) Population Superficie (land area) Altitude
