Contact Management Database for Marketing

I would like to create a client database for my real estate business to use for marketing purposes; mailers, email, birthday alerts, etc. and which can be sorted easily. (i.e. value, type of home, purchase date, etc.). I am looking for technical person who has a background in marketing or ideas to leverage the marketing database for my specific use.
