Our client is a New Payment Gateway, created in 2014/5 in Manchester and still 100% owned and funded by their founder. During the period since launch they have grown tremendously to the point they are now looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join the board, the CTO will be hands on and be in a position to really push this young company, who have a fantastic future in front of them, on to the next level. They have developed a unique payment gateway, that is backed by all the major card issuers, both in UK and USA. The product will revolutionise the collection and instant payments of invoices. Along with working daily with the founder, there is also the ex-COO of one of the world’s largest credit card acquirers as a fellow Director. The product suite is fantastic, with hardly any competition in the markets they do business in; with a great financial annuity based model. Our clients’ needs an experienced Chief Technology Officer who is entrepreneurial themselves, with a “can do attitude” and will bring a proven track record in Payment Gateways. Implementing & Architectural Code, DB, ASP, PCI compliance, hosting. Must be highly skilled in .NET & ASP Also useful will be experience in funding/crowd raising to IPO/exit and industry contacts. (Last year the company received 2 offers to buy its IP/code, even before trading; so early exits/trade sale is highly likely.) You may have just exited a start-up or looking for your next challenge; this will attract CTO’s looking for a high equity exit within the next 24/36 months.
