Design a contest based access portal

This is a project about designing a simple portal for entering a website, with a total of three different views. We are interested in some user friendly and quality graphics, with a light green color theme. The design should be nice to look at and follow a clear line, without too many differences. The style of the website [login to view URL] is appealing to the client, and as such this can be used for inspiration. The three views are: two different user views and an admin side. The latter does not need a lot of fancy graphics. The two user side views are: the front page, with thrre categories of five contests showing. A featured contests category, one for the best rated and one with the newest. The contests should be shown as a miniature image, with a larger one on hover, a title, a short description, rating shown as five stars, combined with the possibility of the user rating it themselves, a participate-button, category, value as in how much can be won and a countdown to the deadline. All the functionality of these things and the entire system in general are being made by someone else, all you need to do is make the design. There needs to be room for a facebook like button and an input field to register for a newsletter. As written in the skills field the design should be made in HTML, CSS or jQuery.
