We have a small bug on the server that makes us restart the server every minute as the mongodb connections build up to 819 We want to increase the limit and we realize it has to be done from node side..not sure what is wrong but we need to have it so the server can handle more than 819 open connections to mongo db

Hi there, Please don't raise the connections number limit, you should rather figure out the connections leak, it's likely a bug in the code Let me check the code please I'm nodejs developer as well as DevOps engineer, I can use Linux tools to help me detect to connections leak Thanks

Hi, I am not really bidding on your project as I don't have a lot of Node.JS experience. But I do have a lot of programming experience (10+ years). I would think if you're requiring more than 800+ connections to your database to be constantly open that something is wrong with your application design. Unless of course this is some major service with many thousand concurrent users for example. Just trying to fix the problem by allocating more connection isn't going to fix the issue, but perhaps mean you can restart the server every 5 minutes instead of 1.... You really should be looking into using some kind of a connection pool to keep your connections at a manageable level (something that won't overwhelm your database and your application server). Kind regards, Chris

Hi, I'm a Javascript, Python and C++ developer. I work with Node connections everyday, probably I can find the problem. If not, money back guaranteed. Best regards, Davide Viero

I have much experience in Node.js and MongoDB/mongoose backend development. It sounds like your server has a bug that would establish new MongoDB connections constantly, because a server may not need so many connections normally. I could help to inspect to code to find out what's wrong and refactor the code.
