We have build a flash Web site that is a product catalog.
We have all of our product information in an access database that is accessible from an ODBC connection on the server.
In order to keep search engine rankings, we want to also create static pages from the products in the database.
These would serve as "landing pages" for each product. Our Flash site is developed in a way that allows you to go to a particular product or "scene" in the flash by passing a value in the URL. The selected Bidder will be able to see this in action and be able to model thier URLs after these in order to allow each static HTML page that is created by this script to link back to the appropriate Flash scene.
This will pull product information out of the database, format it in VERY SEO-freindly tags, and write a static product page out into a directory.
This product page will contain the hyperlink to the URL where this product is located in the flash shopping system.
We will also need to create a page that is an "index" of all the files that have been created. We will embed a layer in the homepage that will guide search engines to this "index" page.
The script needs to have a "timer" in it so that it performs well... doing batches of database lookups instead of a single giant query. We should be able to "run" this script by accessing a secure login page. Any other features you'd recommend... we'd love to hear.
