Hi,
I have more then 15 years of experience in designing and engineering of (plastic) products. All of them are marketed. Please check my portfolio. I work fast and effective and get the full perspective, purpose and details about the project throught efficient communication. Please check my references.
Prototyping is of major importance in any innovative design project to examine the use, strength, material, functionalities etc etc. As well as prototoping options, I'm familiar with the next step to prepare for production. (Injection) moulding is my speciality, from which know the ins and outs: thickness, drafts, parting surfaces, mold flow, fillets, etc. As a mechanical engineer I've worked for several years at a manufacturer of wheelchairs, so I'm familiar with machined, forged and extruded parts, as well as assemblies, of the shelf parts and preparing technical drawings including (geometric) tolerancing for vendors.
Most important before starting a project is to get on the same frequency about the product: What are the customers demands and requirements? What are the most important specifications? Where are the options for cost reduction (most companies like this part ofcourse)? What is the customers (expected) timeline?
Apart from design and engineering skills I can offer you consultation about how to approach the product, what to expect further in the manufacturing phase, etc.
Please contact me for more information.
Thank you, Susanne
