Small software for Ubuntu

Hello, I wrote a windows software (c#) for a client which captures all keyboard events on a system level. Certain key combinations trigger different actions. The client would like to port this software to Ubuntu. To get a head start I am looking for someone who can quickly come up with a small software demo for Ubuntu that: - intercepts all keyboard events on a system level - forwards all keyboard events to the active application - has a tray menu with five entries When you click on the first tray menu entry I want to see a message box showing the last combination of CTRL, ALT + any key that was pressed. Example: I press CTRL, ALT + F8 on the keyboard. After that I continue working and using the keyboard. After a while I open the tray menu and click on the first entry. Now a message box should display "CTRL, ALT, F8". I require the sourcecode for the project and a brief instruction how to compile it to run on the latest Ubuntu. Please let me know if you have got any questions. Please state in your bid how long it will take to finish this littel demo and if you are interested in porting the C# project for me (not a necessaty) after I tested the demo. Please state in your bid if you have previous experience creating apps for Ubuntu.
