HTML5 Developper / Mobile App Developper

Please note that the mobile application described is the first of a series of mobile apps to be developped. If we are satisfied with this first project there are a number of follow - on projects in the pipeline. As the first mobile app we have chosen the Service Technician App with the following parameters: The Service Technician Application can be viewed as a standard Technician Application. It includes the following processes:  The application automatically sends a position update to the backend system  The backend system sends service orders to the mobile application > the arrival of a new service order is alerted to the service technician. The current list of service orders for a particular service technician can anytime be retrieved from the backend system.  The technician acknowledges the arrival of the new service order > this acknowledgement is sent to the backend system  The technician updates the status on the service order – these changes are sent to the backend system  The technicians records time consumed and material used to repair the machine > these data items are sent back to the backend system  The Service Technician should be able to review technical documents about the machine in question. These documents are provided in pdf format by the backend system  Some master data (Items, Machines, etc.) need to be updated from the backend system to the mobile application  The service technician takes a picture of the damaged machine; this picture is added to the backend system  The system provides a map with the location of all service orders assigned to the technician. Also, the technician’s current position is displayed on the map. The future application is a service technician application that connects to a Navision Backend System. The future application should meet the following criteria:  The main target platforms are Android and Windows Mobile; further platforms might be added in the future  In order to enable cross platform capability we anticipate a HTML5 application. However, we are open to discussions.  The applications must be capable of working without connection to the backend system; for this reason the possibility to store data locally is required  Communication between the mobile devices and the backend system is to be done using web services (Soap or OData)
